CHIRP variable frequency sonar technology is currently the most advanced and sophisticated technology applied in the fields of fisheries and maritime sonar. CHIRP variable frequency sonar is an acronym derived from Compressed High-Intensity Radiated Pulse. Traditional sonar can only emit a single, constant-frequency pulse signal within a given unit of time.
